More and more often, employers have begun to say that it is difficult for university graduates to integrate into work and get involved in the implementation of modern tasks. At the same time, students have good professional competencies and knowledge, and the problem is more related to the low development of supra-professional competencies - for example, planning, focus on results, cooperation, effective communication.
The journal "Humanities. Bulletin of the Financial University" published a scientific article by Alexey Komissarov, CEO of the ANO "Russia - Country of Opportunities", acting rector of the Presidential Academy, co-authored with Elena Stepashkina, Dmitry Guzhelya, Olga Soboleva and Pavel Seleznev. It describes in detail the assessment of the trans-professional competencies of university graduates in Russian educational organizations. Here is an excerpt from the work.
"The presidential platform of the ANO "Russia - Country of Opportunities" launched a project to assess and develop supra-professional competencies in students of higher education institutions, within the framework of which several tasks were consistently solved:
Analysis of the profile of the transprofessional competencies of a university on page seo service graduate, maximally adapted to the needs of the modern labor market. For this purpose, a study was conducted, based on the results of which basic competencies were selected for primary assessment and development at universities.
Development and implementation of methods for assessing students’ basic competencies at universities.
Conducting an assessment of the level of supra-professional competencies of students of educational institutions for the following purposes: providing individual reports and forming trajectories for the development of supra-professional competencies; forming a data array for studying the state of the higher education system of the Russian Federation in terms of the development of supra-professional competencies in the process of training students.
The relevance of the project is dictated by the need to form in students, graduates and young professionals an idea of the level of their universal cross-professional competencies, which are most in demand when applying for a job and in further career development.
The article describes the methodology for assessing the transprofessional competencies of the project participants in the pilot year. Before considering the methodological aspects and approaches to assessment used in the project, it should be noted that the authors understand the definition of "competence" as "a basic quality of an individual that has a causal relationship to effective and/or best performance based on criteria at work or in other situations."
In other words, supra-professional competencies are universal business and managerial qualities of a person that allow them to effectively and/or best perform assigned tasks. It is precisely the qualities that are universal for all students and young specialists, having a wide scope of application without being tied to a specific professional field, profession or specialty, that became the object of study and assessment within the framework of the project. The implementation of the project required the development and implementation of a modern assessment methodology to identify the level of manifestation of supra-professional competencies in participants according to the basic profile of a young specialist, maximally adapted to the needs of the modern labor market."
